Attendance
When your child enrolls in a class, he or she is committed to attending the class on time for the entire year. No reductions are given for missed classes.
Snow Days
If Winchester community schools are closed due to adverse weather, the studio will be closed as well.
Dress Code
All students are encouraged to wear dance clothes (no jeans) for lessons. The faculty would like all dance shoes to be purchased through the studio. (tan tap shoes and white clogging shoes) any personal items left at the studio are not the responsibility of inspire@d.d.s.
Practice Time
It is quite natural for children to be unwilling to practice. Therefore, the faculty encourages the family to get involved. The faculty would like to request that all students practice 30 minutes, twice a week.
Diamonds
An elite group of special girls representing inspire@d.d.s. They must be in 7th-12th grade. They must be in the studio for two years and take a minimum of two classes (tap and jazz are recommended). The dancer must commit to rehearsing once a month on a Sunday from 1:00-3:00. There is an additional fee for this.
Recital
Inspire@d.d.s. will be presenting a recital in the spring at WCHS Auditorium. It is a wonderful experience and excellent training for your child. To be sure that the studio receives the costumes in time for the recital, the orders must be placed in December. The costume companies require payment in advance, so the studio will need costume payments by the end of November. This can be made in two payments – October and November. For the recital, there will be a mandatory rehearsal and a recital fee. Absolutely no exceptions!!!
Recital Makeup Policy
Times can be arranged for make-up lessons if two or more lessons are missed during the same month. It is the responsibility of the student to check on make-up lessons. No credit or monetary reimbursements are applicable for classes not made up.
