ABOUT INSPIRE @ D.D.S.
Past to Present...
The Beginning of Dixie's Dance Studio
Dixie's Dance Studio opened its doors in 1987, under the direction of Dixie Osting. Dixie rented an upstairs building before purchasing the current location. She opened the studio with approximately 75 students. Dixie started by primarily teaching tap, jazz, clogging and square dancing.
Dixie was just 16 years old when she first started teaching dance. Dixie is now retired and has passed on her legacy.

The Next Generation
Dixie's son, Kyle Osting moved back home from dancing professionally in various shows and productions. Kyle has been in many shows ranging from Siegfried and Roy in Las Vegas, NV, Cirque du Soleil in Biloxi, MS, and Country Tonight in Pigeon Forge, TN just to name a few. In 2006, Kyle purchased the studio from his mother. Kyle added in multiple other forms of dance such as lyrical, ballet, contemporary, hip hop and musical theater. Kyle has taken great pride in building the studio into what it is today!
The Future of Inspire @ D.D.S.
In 2012, Kyle purchased the building adjoining the old studio to allow more space for the growing studio. Inspire added a new 30'x40' dance room, a new front office, and two additional bathrooms! Our full facility now includes 3 dances rooms, a shoe room, a front office, a spacious lobby, and 3 bathrooms! We are excited that the new studio was up and running for the 2013-14 season and then redone again after a fire in January of 2015.
